Therapy for Men
Secure, virtual one-on-one men’s counseling in California
You’ve carried your weight alone long enough. It’s time to learn how to let some of it go.
DUSTIN ADLER THERAPY
It’s time to take off the armor.
Men carry a lot: pressure, responsibility, expectations, quiet pain behind the silence. And we often “go it alone”. But if you’re ready to see real change and let go of carrying it all on your own, you must show up for the work in a new way and meet vulnerability head-on.
I provide virtual therapy for men across California who are ready to rebuild themselves - their confidence, their strength, their relationships, their purpose. This isn’t about quick fixes. Just real growth and honest accountability. Whatever weight you’re carrying—stress, burnout, anger, or the pressure to do MORE while holding it all together—is exactly where you’ll learn to face what’s heavy and how to carry it differently.
What’s the weight you’re carrying?
The pressure to provide. The weight of expectations. The quiet pain no one sees. You’ve been told to “man up,” to stay strong, to push through, be the rock.
Strength isn’t just about endurance or slogging through unappreciated silently building up resentment. It’s about learning how to carry the weight with purpose instead of pain, setting down what isn’t yours, no longer doing it alone…and learning how to act more in line with your intention when adversity shows up.
Our work together will help you take off the armor, see what’s underneath, set down the weight that is not yours to carry. We’ll dig into the patterns, expectations and pressure you or others place upon yourself, and look at old versions of you that are getting in the way of who you want to become. I’ll help you rebuild from a place of internal clarity and strength.
Key building blocks in our work together will include:
VULNERABILITY that builds strength
You’re not weak for feeling deeply or suffering in silence - you’re human. You can be the man who protects and provides, and still have needs, fears, and emotions - but you are responsible for what to do with them.
Together, we’ll redefine what vulnerability means: stop carrying everything in silence, express yourself with our losing control, understand your reactions instead of being ruled by them, show up with more honesty, presence, and self-respect, and also learn how to prioritize YOU.
It’s not about being “softer.” It’s about being stronger - in the ways that actually matter.
SELF-CONFIDENCE that actually lasts
Confidence isn’t a performance, ego driven or respect - it’s an inner steadiness that can’t be shaken by other people’s opinions or expectations - trusting yourself.
In our online therapy for men, you’ll learn to quiet the inner critic, rebuild self-trust and self-esteem through awareness, take accountability and responsibility, rebuild discipline and aligned action, and break the cycles that keep you stuck. Together we’ll discover what truly matters to you, adjust what’s necessary to prioritize it, and build the steps to seeing it through.
Confidence isn’t a personality trait. It’s a skill. And you can build it.
RELATIONSHIPS built on strength, not survival
Real connection starts when you stop trying to prove yourself and start being yourself. Your relationships reflect the work you do within yourself.
In therapy, we’ll focus on communication without escalation, emotional steadiness, accountability and presence, understanding your partner instead of reacting to them, and building connecting through respect, honesty and real effort.
By learning more about your own weight and how to set down what’s not yours to carry - we’ll build a plan that prioritizes you, so you can finally show up the way you want for the people you care about most.
THE WEIGHT YOU CARRY
This is more than therapy; it’s part of a movement. The Weight You Carry is a space for men ready to do the real work.
It’s about learning to face your story, shoulder your struggles with purpose, and build strength from the inside out.
Through therapy, guided journaling, and upcoming retreats and men’s groups, you’ll find community, clarity, and direction - not through shame or judgment, but through honest connection and self-discovery.
Mr. Adler has been instrumental in counseling me. I feel absolutely transformed in recent months with my personal life, professional life, and overall emotional maturity. He has encouraged me to look closely at myself and do hard work to improve myself; at the same time, give me good literature, fantastic "tools", and tremendous patience for me to internalize some of my struggles.
As challenging a process this has been for me, Mr. Adler has made it one of the most rewarding experience in my life—and it has given me an incredible amount of hope for my future.
