Life can be really hard sometimes.
What matters is that you keep moving forward.
“People are capable, at any time in their lives, of doing what they dream of.”
―PAULO COELHO, THE ALCHEMIST
My Story
It has taken years of practice for me to remove the word “fail” from my life. For a long time, I existed in a state of crippling anxiety, falling down time and time again under the belief that I wasn’t good enough.
I was finally able to discover a path forward when I found myself at my own rock bottom. Despite the pain, I was determined to get out. It didn’t happen overnight. But I did begin to slowly understand that we never really cross a finish line in life where pain and difficulties just “go away”. By learning to ask for help, leaning into my own community, and investing in my own therapy, I discovered how to trust my process and ultimately myself…to trust that I will always find a way to get back up.
I realized that the secret lies in our own process, and in learning how to trust it.
Through my own journey to find happiness, I uncovered an incredible method for creating a fulfilling life…and it felt like a secret that needed to be shared. It was this ah-ha that encouraged me to become a therapist. To this day, that method has become the foundation of my practice and is how I hold space for each of my clients. I look forward to sharing it with you, too.
Trusting the process
“Trust Your Process” is the foundation of my professional practice. By focusing on small adjustments like slowing the breath and creating a pause, we can begin to regain our balance in any situation.
By learning to regain control, we can actually calm our nervous system and shift stressful times from feeling overwhelming to feeling happy. Trusting ourselves is the key: taking responsibility for what’s actually in our power, and infusing our lives with more joy, honesty, and empathy will always take us in the right direction. Any time we feel we have veered off course, it is always possible to get back on the path or learn to create a new one. It all comes back to our willingness to commit to ourselves, no matter how many times we fall.
My life in pictures
Just like any relationship, therapy is grounded in mutual trust. Therefore, it’s important for me to be transparent about my real life. As we work together, pieces of my journey will be gently woven in: my connection to nature, a sense of adventure, and finding calm. The following slideshow is a small glimpse into what makes ME feel balanced, shared with you to get a better visual understanding of who I am.
